Stuart - Founder & Personal Trainer

Stuart came into fitness later in life and is passionate about enabling and encouraging people of all ages to participate and learn to enjoy weightlifting, which is why he created “Sound Fitness.” His goal has always been, and remains, to build a personal training business that delivers results while providing the high level of customer service and satisfaction you would expect from someone with an extensive career in hospitality.

He has a wealth of life experience that allows him to empathise with people who are struggling, feel intimidated by the gym environment, or are just starting a new fitness journey — even later in life. He enjoys strength and conditioning training, as well as seeing the joy clients experience from feeling and recognising the benefits of training at the studio.

He qualified as a Level 4 Master Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach at the European Institute of Fitness in 2016, and also holds a boxing pad work qualification. Prior to this, he spent 30 years in the hospitality industry in senior roles with well-known high street dining brands. His experience as a food development chef enables him to offer practical advice on nutrition and home cooking, and he is always happy to chat about food with clients.

He believes that for weightlifting to become a way of life, people first need to enjoy it. This ethos is reflected in the team he has built around him, who share the same approach. He is proud of the results they achieve together, delivering long-lasting transformations for both new and long-term clients. He also enjoys working one-to-one with clients and leading strength and conditioning classes.

Joseph - Head Trainer

Since gaining his Level 3 Personal Training qualification 8 years ago, Joseph has continued his professional development, most recently obtaining qualifications in pre and post-natal training, exercise referral, nutrition and Olympic lifting. He has also gained valuable experience working with clients with a wide range of needs, including fat loss, strength training, power, and sport-specific performance.

As Head Trainer at Sound Fitness, Joseph takes great pride in ensuring every client who walks through the doors achieves the best possible results. He enjoys coaching, supporting, and developing the wider personal training team to maintain consistently high standards across both one-to-one sessions and strength and conditioning classes.

With a background in professional sport, Joseph places strong emphasis on consistency and accountability, while also making training enjoyable and tailored to each individual.

Winston - Personal Trainer

Born and raised in London, Winston’s journey into fitness started at a young age through sport. Beginning with football, he developed a strong team mentality and winning mindset. He then moved into boxing and kickboxing, where he built discipline and learned how to control and channel his energy. Weightlifting followed, presenting a new challenge, but one he embraced using the skills he had developed throughout his fitness journey. Over time, he fell in love with both the physical and mental benefits of training.

Winston is a dedicated and experienced Personal Trainer, qualified in pad work and abs and core training. He is passionate about helping clients achieve their fitness goals and brings an abundance of positive energy to every session, keeping you motivated and on track to get the best results.

He is fully supportive, committed, and driven to help transform your lifestyle and bring out the best version of you.

Chev - Personal Trainer

Chev is a passionate personal trainer dedicated to helping clients achieve their fitness goals. He holds qualifications in cycling, boxing, and bootcamp training, and is also a Level 3 qualified nutrition adviser.

His love for fitness and sport — particularly football and combat sports — has shaped his approach to training. He believes in the power of a well-rounded fitness routine that not only builds strength but also enhances overall well-being.

Chev’s strengths include body recomposition, helping clients reduce body fat and build muscle to achieve a leaner, more defined physique. He also specialises in strength and conditioning, creating tailored programmes to improve strength, endurance, and overall performance, as well as mobility work to increase range of motion, prevent injury, and support recovery.

Brett - Personal Trainer

Brett is an experienced personal trainer who specialises in helping clients build strength, improve mobility, and develop functional strength through structured, effective coaching.

With over 8 years of experience working with a wide range of clients from beginners, advanced and those returning from injury, Brett specialises in injury rehabilitation and prevention - particularly joint-related issues including knees, ankles, and shoulders, helping clients move better, reduce discomfort, and rebuild confidence in their training.

Brett’s approach combines strength and conditioning with mobility work to create balanced, full-body programmes that improve performance, support recovery, and build long-term resilience. Whether your goal is fat loss, muscle gain, or simply feeling stronger and healthier, he focuses on delivering sustainable results that carry over into everyday life.

James - Personal Trainer

James is a performance-focused personal trainer who specialises in helping clients build fitness, improve endurance, and push past their limits through high-energy, results-driven coaching.

With a background in performance and competitive sport, he combines strength training with conditioning to create structured, challenging sessions that deliver real progress. His approach is built around developing both physical fitness and mental resilience, helping clients build confidence while improving their overall performance.

As a HYROX athlete and regular endurance competitor, James understands how to safely push clients into higher-intensity training zones, helping them unlock their potential while maintaining proper technique and progression. His sessions are designed to be motivating, engaging, and effective — keeping you accountable and consistently moving towards your goals.
